Old news that is too good to throw away!
Message from Worcester Netball Club:
We share the sad news that after a long illness Becky Giddins has lost her battle with Cancer. A unique netballer, with lay ups and creative style that will live in our memories forever. A coach who could inspire a player to want to play the game and many will play now because of her influence. A wife, daughter, sister and friend to so many people. She will be sadly missed by all of us at the club ❤️ Rest in Peace Becky (Moley) ❤️#BeRed

MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO ANNA MAYES AND HER ENGLAND SQUAD AND SUPPORT STAFF WHO MANAGED AN INCREDIBLE 3-0 SERIES WIN OVER THE WORLD NO:1's AUSTRALIA!!
If any of you were able to watch the game live you will have seen Sheila Perks MBE receive her Lifetime Achievement Award from Sport Coach UK for her outstanding services to netball. The prize was presented to her by Stacey Francis, England Goal Defence, who Sheila coached when she joined Ryland netball club when she was 13. Sheila has helped and encouraged many players at club, county, regional and national level over the last 60 years and can still be seen at many county and regional sessions passing on her enthusiasm and wise words. Not only does she encourage girls to participate in the game but she is also mentoring budding young coaches too. - Well done Sheila!!
How great is this tweet from Stacey Francis?
Stacey started her netball career with Ryland Netball Club and is also a former Worcester County player.
It just goes to show that if you work hard you too could play for England!!
